About us

Welcome to our research group! We look forward to accompany you in your research and training!

The ILET & Schooling Group is an economically independent research group which collaborate with different research groups and teacher’s training organizations around the world.


ILET stands for Interdisciplinary learning environments technologies.


The general topic of our research is “Process of transformation from the Teachers-Centered Facilitation to the Students-Centered Facilitation through the Interdisciplinary Learning Environment”. We have developed the Humanistic and Investigative Inquiry Learning Environment model (HIILE-model), which was already successfully implemented in different schools around the globe.


Following projects/subtopics are in progress:


1. “THE HUMANISTIC AND INVESTIGATIVE INQUIRY ORIENTED METHOD AS A TOOL TO ENABLE PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS' LEARNING PROCESS IN THE MATHEMATICAL SCHOOL SUBJECTS”.

Possible solution to the problem of interdisciplinary relations in Primary School based on Swedish experience.


2. THE HUMANISTIC AND INVESTIGATIVE INQUIRY ORIENTED METHOD AS A TOOL FOR CONSTRUCTING OF INTERDISCIPLINARY CURRICULUM FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS. 

Another interessting solution to the problem of interdisciplinary relations in Primary School.


3. THE INTERDISCIPLINARY LEARNING ENVIRONMENT AND ICT.

Open-minded research about how to integrating mobile phones and HIIO-method.


4. THE INTERDISCIPLINARY LEARNING ENVIRONMENT AS IMMERSION SPACE.

First project under Finnish School Resources  (Skolresurs -Resurscenter för matematik, naturvetenskap och teknik i skolan) and Finnish National Agency for Education (Utblidningsstyrelsen svenska enhet).

Project "Interdisciplinary Science as optional subject at Junior Highschool."

First seminar in Helsinki, Finland, for advanced teachers' training in interdisciplinary curriculum.

Furthermore, next project with LEGO Robotics was taken into daily curriculum in STEM subjects at our Pilot School, Botby School, Finland

Next project, which was delivered under Finnish School Resources and Finnish National Agency for Education, was about implementationof smartphone in learning processes.

Evaluation and development project for Finnish National Agency of Education about new national curriculum in STEM subjects.

Project "Toppkompetens" for Finnish National Agency of Education was started. Project was started for explanatio of relationship between methodology and interdisciplinary approach according new national curriculum.

Project "Best practice Schooling" at the Metropolitan International Shool in Mannheim, Germany.

In the same year, there was a cooperation between Gent ICC University, Belgium and ILETS University of Glasgow, UK. for evaluating Belgian STEM Programm.

ILETS Group, School of Education, University of Glasgow opens a swedish branch in Stockholm.

Swedish branch of ILETS Group was renamed to ILET & Schooling Group SNC and moved to Anderlecht, Belgium as an independate research group.
